What is a denture rebase?
A denture rebase is a way of replacing the base of your denture without replacing the teeth. It is a great option for repairing your denture if the teeth are still in good shape but there are issues with the base, such as:
- The denture has broken or otherwise sustained damage
- The pink denture base is old or has become weakened over time
- You received an immediate denture and your gums and dental arch have changed shape
Rebasing dentures is like relining them. The main difference is that only the underside (lining) of the base is replaced during relining, but the entire pink acrylic base is replaced during rebasing.
